- What’s easier driving a boat with a steering wheel or a tiller?
- How should I attach the sheet of a small boat to either the tiller or the rudder?
How to make a tiller extention for an electric boat moter?

4′ 1″ PVC pipe, 1′ 1 1/4 rubber hose. Put the rubber hose on the control handle place the pvc inside the rubber hose, clamp it on with a hose clamp. Verify size with your actual handle, mine was an older electric motor. The rubber hose allows your to stand above or to the side and still control the motor as it will flex.

If your boat also has a steering wheel for an outboard, just leave the outboard down in the water, set the electric straight ahead and steer with the wheel. Just make sure the motor can turn fully without hitting the electric motor. If you are going with electric power only and have no wheel, the idea offered about hose and pvc sounds workable if you can get it secured well to the motor. Enjoy!
